Tefy Nirina Enrique Barryh, alias Tefy Khaita, was born in Fianarantsoa, Madagascar. A self-taught artist, he developed a passion for drawing during middle school. After studying marketing and communication, he turned to digital illustration.

In 2012, Tefy Khaita expanded his artistic practice, exploring various techniques such as sanguine, ink, charcoal, watercolor, and especially coffee—a medium he particularly cherishes. After moving to Dakar in June 2023, he discovered acrylic on canvas, which he skillfully combines with coffee to capture the city's daily life, reminiscent of his homeland.

Working from life, memory, or photographs, he translates everyday scenes into profound messages. Deeply engaged, his art celebrates human beauty while promoting values of tolerance and love.a
