Born in 1975 in Dakar, Latifa left her homeland at birth to live in Central Africa and later in France. It wasn’t until she turned 20 that she rediscovered Senegal, a homecoming that marked a turning point in her life and artistic career.

Inspired by her surroundings and the diverse cultures that shaped her, Latifa began her artistic journey as a self-taught painter, exploring different techniques and styles to develop her unique artistic identity. Her work is deeply intuitive and subconscious, characterized by vibrant colors, dynamic compositions, and a mix of materials. Over the years, she has exhibited her work nationally and internationally, gaining recognition from critics and the public alike.
