Idrissa Mbengue, born in 1986 in Dakar, first monetized his talent in advertising by doing branding for businesses. To perfect his craft, he enrolled in the Taagat School of Visual Arts to learn the techniques of visual arts, under the guidance of Professor Ismaila Weber.

During the graduation ceremony at Douta Seck, he held his first exhibition. He then participated in competitions, collective exhibitions in Senegal and abroad (Morocco) and art camps (as a facilitator).

He exhibited during the 2022 biennale in Saint Louis, was selected for the Salon des Arts in 2019 and 2023, won 2nd place in the competition organized by the OFNAC (National Office for the Fight Against Fraud and Corruption), and finished 3rd in the competition held by the Group of Friends of School Feeding in Senegal (GAASS).
